Great Venue - Very Dissapointing Performance
In my view, although somewhat interesting, that was not the show that was purchased. Dan is a part of a band and the other members were working hard to cover for him. My daughter saw them in New Orleans the next night and described what I missed, albeit a major part, and they should have performed their entire set as best they could. I expected to get the entire set since "the show must go on" option was taken. Dan was unable to sing at this event, as he had lost his voice, and although I sympathize with the situation, I am very disappointed in the way that it was handled. Although the latter was chosen, the set was cut very short and time was filled with personal stories. Although The Woodlands pavilion is a great venue, I still do weeks later feel cheated after leaving the venue. Dan said multiple times on stage that Michael Blaustein would return to The Woodlands. In my view, there were two options: cancel the show and issue a refund or continue on with the show and perform as best they could. I hope that he keeps his word. I am an Eagle Scout, as is Dan, and I hope that he follows the Scouting principles of honor and trust and returns to The Woodlands in the very near future. I don't expect a free concert, but I would like the opportunity to actually see the entire performance for which I have already paid. The audience, which was really into the performance, myself included.
